WINDX Privacy Policy

Who we are

WINDX is operated by JAYABHERI WINDSHIELD SOLUTIONS, BUS STOP, 14, ELURU ROAD, VIJAYAWADA, Andhra Pradesh 520004, India. This policy covers the current WINDX website, iOS app and Android app.

Information you provide

When you request a quote, we collect your name, phone number, vehicle type and details, selected service, and the city or area you enter. You may also provide an email address and damage/enquiry notes. This information is linked to your enquiry and contact details. Browsing the service information does not require an account. Do not submit passwords, payment-card details, health information, insurance documents or other sensitive information in the notes field.

Optional location map

The website and app include an illustrative service-area map. If you choose “Use my location,” your browser or device asks permission to provide an approximate location while the page or app is in use. The coordinates are used only on your device during that visit to place an approximate marker on the map. They are not included in an enquiry, sent to WINDX or a map provider, or saved by WINDX. Location access is not needed to browse or submit an enquiry; you can enter a city or PIN code instead. The website and app list six Andhra Pradesh centers: Tirupati, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Visakhapatnam, Chittoor and Pileru. Four listings currently have Google Maps directions and appear as pins on the illustrative map. Vijayawada and Chittoor directions and pins are not available yet. The map is for general orientation, not navigation; use a center’s directions link for precise routing.

How we use it

We use submitted details to record and assess your auto-glass enquiry and respond to it. Submission is not an appointment confirmation.

Enquiries submitted to the live WINDX service are stored in AWS in the United States for up to 30 days plus expiry processing. Local previews may store enquiries locally. Automatic email delivery and customer payments are not implemented.

We do not use enquiry information for advertising or sell it to data brokers.

Technical information and security

Our hosting systems process network information needed to deliver the service. The backend uses a short-lived hash of the request IP address to limit abuse, and temporary request identifiers to avoid duplicate enquiries. We do not use these records for advertising or app-usage analytics. Production requests use HTTPS, and stored enquiries use AWS-managed encryption and restricted access. No security measure eliminates every risk.

Service providers and sharing

AWS hosts the enquiry backend in the United States; Cloudflare serves the website and routes support emails to designated support inboxes. These services process information to operate WINDX. Authorized staff can access information needed to handle an enquiry. We do not share enquiries with independent installers, insurance companies or other businesses for their own purposes, and do not sell or share data for advertising. We may disclose information if legally required. If you email us, your email and attachments are processed by our email-routing and receiving-mailbox providers.

Retention

Enquiries are configured to expire after 30 days. Cloud database expiry deletion is asynchronous, so removal may take additional time after expiry. Duplicate-request records expire after one hour and abuse-rate records after approximately two minutes. Operational logs retain seven days; the application does not deliberately log enquiry content. Support email retention is managed separately in the receiving mailbox. Legal obligations may require retention of relevant business correspondence.

Your choices

You can browse without submitting a quote. An enquiry requires the fields marked as required; email and notes are optional. Contact [email protected] to request access, correction or deletion of your enquiry, or to ask privacy questions. Include your enquiry reference where available and avoid sending unnecessary sensitive documents. We may need to verify that the request is yours. There are no user accounts to delete in this version.

What this version does not collect

The website and app do not access GPS automatically or in the background, continuously track location, implement continuous technician GPS tracking, or send or store GPS coordinates. If you choose “Use my location,” the app reads your device coordinates while it is open; these coordinates may be precise depending on your device’s location setting, even though the map displays only an approximate marker. They stay in device memory for that visit and are not sent to WINDX or a map provider, or stored by WINDX. We do not collect passwords, run app-usage analytics or advertising tracking, process payments, collect insurance documents, or intentionally collect health information. We do not request access to contacts, camera, microphone or photo library for the current enquiry flow.

Children

WINDX is intended for adults seeking vehicle services and is not directed to children. If you believe a child submitted personal information, contact us to request removal.

Policy updates

Planned location feature (not active): WINDX is considering an optional, user-initiated precise-location feature to help identify nearby approved service centers or check service availability for an area. This feature is not currently implemented: precise coordinates are not sent to WINDX, used to track a person or technician, or stored by WINDX. Before enabling it, we will define the exact purpose, whether coordinates leave the device, retention and access controls, provide an in-app explanation and choice, and update this policy and the Apple and Google Play disclosures to match the shipped behavior. Background or continuous tracking is not part of this plan. We will likewise update this policy and applicable store disclosures before enabling accounts, analytics, payment providers, insurance-document collection or insurance-claim processing; those features are not active in this version.
